How we make money

The postcode check and the guides are free. AIDO MIND Limited, which runs this site, is paid in two ways.

1. Fixed fees for paperwork we do for you

We prepare licence applications, landlord database paperwork, section 13 rent increase notices, section 8 notices (notice stage only) and deposit protection paperwork, for a fixed fee agreed in writing before we start. For example, a selective licence application is £199 and a Form 4A rent increase notice is £69. Full list: pricing.

We never hold your money. Council fees, the landlord database fee, deposit scheme charges and court fees go from you straight to the organisation concerned. Membership of a government-approved redress scheme will be in place before we take on any agency work.

2. Referral fees

Some things we do not do: court claims, hearings, legal advice and enforcement. If you ask us to, we may introduce you to a firm that does, such as an SRA-regulated solicitor. That firm may pay us a referral fee.

• We tell you before any referral, including whether we will be paid and how much.
• You never pay more because of the referral fee, and you are free to use any other firm.
• We do not currently have any referral agreements in place. When we do, we will name the firms on this page.

What we do not do

• No advertising on the site and no paid placements in our guides.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data.
• We do not sell, arrange or earn commission on insurance.
• Company and agent information on this site comes from official records only. Nobody can pay to be listed, removed or rated.

Why this matters for the data

The figures on this site (licensing schemes, court timings, tribunal decisions, EPC ratings) come from public records and are shown the same way whether or not you buy anything. See data sources.
